Frequently Asked Questions
What is a 5-day Trial Period?
eTransMed offers a 5-day free trial which will provide you 25 free transcriptions or a maximum of 500 lines within the 5 days. There are no strings attached. During this trial period, we will provide you with full transcription services, which among other services include, your corporate template, e-signature and a summary of your account. We are very confident that at the end of this trial, you’ll choose to continue our industry leading services.
How are the dictations submitted?
Dictations may be submitted by using our toll-free phone number, fully programmable into your phone system’s quick dial button. Just dial in your id number and start the dictation. You may also choose to use a digital recorder, if you so prefer, and automatically upload the information to us. We encourage you to use your “canned phrases” or “normals” – this will help simplify your dictation process.
How is the dictation processed?
As soon as we receive the dictation, the pre-assigned transcriptionist will complete the transcription. It is then edited for quality assurance by two experienced editors and then uploaded for your retrieval.
How do I retrieve my dictations?
Retrieving your dictations is made very simple by using our secure, HIPAA-Compliant, state-of-the-art, Internet Explorer-based, software. Just log in on our website, type in your user id and a password and you will be able to view all of your dictations. You then have a choice to edit and approve the dictations. Your dictation will then instantly be ready for printing on your letter-head, along with your digital signature. You may also download the files in any format, e.g. Microsoft Word. We can also fax or mail the dictations to you, if that is your preference. The dictations are available for your on-line retrieval for up to two weeks and your transcription is archived in our network-redundant system for one year.
Can I choose when I get my transcriptions back?
Our services provide you turn-around-time (TAT) options of 4, 8, 12, 24 or 48 hours. Our standard TAT is 24 hours, seven days a week.
